IMGN Life and Choices Women's Center operate through the generosity of faithful volunteers and a few full and part-time staff who give of their time, gifts and talents.
One way IMGN Life supports Choices Women's Center and other regional efforts is through the recruitment and training of faithful volunteers.
There are many volunteer opportunities for those that need a flexible way to serve. If you are interested in serving, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to review our Volunteer Opportunities List:
Interpreters (Spanish; Farsi): These volunteers will work alongside Choices’ medical staff to interpret for clients speaking either Spanish or Farsi. They may also be asked to accompany outreach staff to community centers to educate populations of our region where the predominant language is either Spanish or Farsi.
Admin volunteers (Both Client and Non-client); These volunteers help with many day-to-day tasks such as mailers, data input, phone communications, event help, etc. They would be placed on a regular schedule to come into IMGN Life headquarters to work with Administrative, Event, and Development Staff.
Cleaning and maintenance (Non-client); These volunteers would donate their time by cleaning the facilities on a regular basis, as well as lawn maintenance.
Nurses (Client); Nurse volunteers would serve alongside our staff of nurses to care for clients and assist the medical team.
Choices Clinic receptionists (Client); Clinic receptionists would make both female and male clients feel welcomed and comfortable while they wait for medical services. They would care for the maintenance of the lobby and share ideas on how to make it a most welcoming environment.
Male mentors for men (Client, but limited training); Male mentors would serve specifically with the Legacy League, our Fatherhood program that walks alongside expectant dads as they learn to support their partners and children. These volunteers would commit to be on-hand for male clients on a regular basis, and be ready to serve clients outside of office hours as a mentor.
Church ambassadors (Client, but limited training); Church ambassadors commit to quarterly meetings with administrative staff to learn about IMGN Life’s upcoming events and available resources for churches and the community. They commit to meeting with their pastor to share the information, as well as being a conduit between IMGN Life and their local church for current information.
Community ambassadors (Non-client); These men and women are active members of their communities, whether in: the business, church, nonprofit, education, government, or healthcare sector; and would commit to sharing IMGN Life’s resources, information, and events within their spheres of influence when appropriate. They would complete a monthly update about where they spoke, with whom, and where they are planning to speak, present, or inform in the coming month, and ask admin staff for any relevant collateral to prepare. They would actively serve alongside IMGN Life’s ED, CWC’s Director of Client Services, etc. to recruit them to speak on behalf of IMGN Life in these given spheres of influence.
Security consultants NEW (Non-client): We are actively looking for men and women with past security experience who know how to best secure a facility; what protocol is best practice, and how to best implement, given the size and scope of IMGN Life’s facility.
